There is speculation that former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki, who is currently being investigated by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, is planning to run for presidency in 2019.
The Peoples Democratic Party recently alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari is afraid of Dasuki because the ruling party looking for the destruction of the opposition so that it can push through Buhari’s second term in 2019.
Dasuki is undergoing trial for alleged spending money meant for purchase of th weapons to fight Boko Haram insurgency.
However, the presidency stated that President Buhari will not interfere with the trials of Sambo Dasuki dismissing insinuations that Buhari is bent on influencing the court to jail him.
Bashir Ahmad, a member of Buhari’s media team, posted on his Twitter account one more evidence that former NSA is targeting Aso Rock in the next presidential poll.
