Yoruba Islamic Group Warns Buhari's Critics

A Yoruba Islamic organization, Ansar-Ud-Deen Youth Association of Nigeria (ADYAN) has sent out strong warning to all those trying to frustrate the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. The group which is affiliated to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Islamic Organisation said they were strongly in support of Buhari, Premium Times reports.
Speaking in Abuja on Thursday, December 17, Bashir Omipidan who is the president of the group said: “ADYAN hereby remind those who are bent on not only frustrating our dear president, but equally ready to add to the sufferings of Nigerians that the citizenry have resolve to end their nefarious activities.”
Omipidan said they believe the war against corruption will soon be won and so they are strong behind the federal government’s anti-corruption stance in all sectors of the economy. On the ongoing $2 billion arms deal probe involving former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki and other persons, Omipidan said he was shocked at the revelations coming out.
He said it was an eye opener to the level of corruption that plagued the immediate past administration led by former president, Goodluck Jonathan. ADYAN notes with sadness shocking revelation of how our supposed leaders milked this country prior to the 2015 election, posterity and legacy will surely judge,” the group’s president said.
Reacting to the lingering fuel scarcity, the group urged the federal government to put more efforts to end the suffering of the masses, while praying that it will soon come to an end. President Buhari has been criticised for a lot of things, form being slow to his choice of ministers and many others.  after report surfaced that he got two SUV s and $300,000 from the office of the embattled Dasuki.
However, Opeyemi Bamidele, a Nigerian lawyer and activist said  by naming him as one of the beneficiaries of the arms deal scam, adding that the fight against corruption will go on.
