*Photos* This Woman Is Proof That Plastic Surgery Can Go Terribly Wrong

hang miokuWith South Korea’s recent surge in plastic cosmetic surgery it seems appropriate to look back at some examples that may have gone too far. For former model Hang Mioku, that could not be more true. She radiated with natural beauty at age 28.

However, she soon became hooked to plastic surgery procedures to enhance and change her facial features. Although her decisions resulted in her face becoming rounder, larger, and more disfigured, she continued with these surgeries.

At this point some suspected that there was a mental or psychological addiction to the procedures – Hang did not stop here. She continued with these surgeries until most doctors refused to operate on her any longer. She became obsessed, to say the least.hang mioku silicone
Her obsession took her to extremes – she obtained black market silicone for self-injection and performed on herself. You would think that that was enough but no; she soon ran out of the silicone and resorted to using cooking oil on her face…
When she returned home to her parents, it’s said that they could not even recognize their daughter. Many of the children in her hometown jokingly called her the “standing fan” because of her now ridiculously disproportionate body. Her swollen face and head did not fit her small body.

Soon, her obsession hit the airwaves as reports of her deeds spread. Many viewers took pity on her and donated money so she could have sufficient funds to attempt reversal surgeries.

Supposedly her initial recovery surgery removed 60 grams of foreign substance from her face and 200 grams from her neck – and that was just the first step. Hang Mioku underwent numerous surgeries as doctors tried to recover her original looks back. Unfortunately, the damage has been done.

Now almost 50 years old, she works at a recycled clothing store. Although her complexion shows much improvement from her cooking oil homemade injection, the scarring on her face is permanent.
