Governor Tank Al-Makura was recently attack at the burial of the late Alhaji Mohammadu Chindo Yamusa II. According to reports, Al-Makura was about entering his official vehicle in Keffi, Keffi local government area of the state when the youths came at him with different weapons, throwing stones at him.
He was however quickly rushed into his car as security operatives attached to his convoy quickly intervened. They shot sporadically to scare the youths away.
The youths were said to have started mobilizing themselves after the governor and his entourage arrived for the burial and shortly after the burial, the irate youths started molesting the governor, calling him names and throwing stones in his direction. The Emir of Keffi died on Friday morning in his palace in Keffi, Keffi local government area of Nasarawa state at the age of 70.
