The minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi arrived Calabar carnival in style yesterday, Monday, December 28.
He arrived amidst loud cheers and warm reception as many chanted ‘Lion of Ubima’ as the former governor walked to his seat.

The much anticipated Calabar Carnival is currently ongoing the way in Cross river state, South-South, Nigeria. The carnival which is reputed to be Africa’s biggest street party is an annual event and this year’s carnival is the 11th edition. One major feature of the event is the massive presence of celebrities from different parts of Nigeria who most times belong to one of the bands on display at the carnival.
